What sets Blair Atholl apart
Designed by Gary Player and built on his former homestead, the Blair Atholl golf course is Africa’s longest and ranked #2 in the country.
Host to the SA Open, tour Championship events regularly play out on
its immaculate fairways, while leading women’s tournaments further reinforce Blair Atholl’s standing within modern championship golf culture.
Numerous challenging features bolster its reputation as a destination course, with the Blair Mile chief among them. An especially trying test of strategy, endurance and nerve, it stretches across the longest consecutive par 4s on earth from holes 14 to 16.
The Crocodile River, which flows through the Estate, can be crossed at regular intervals via a series of footbridges. Free-roaming wildlife wanders the course, ensuring no two rounds are ever quite the same. A rare balance of tranquillity and accessibility, the Estate lies just 5 minutes’ drive from Lanseria International Airport. Membership is offered to a limited number of enthusiasts - while golf days and business events are welcome by appointment.

The making of a legacy
One of just five players to have won all four major championships, Mr Player is widely considered South Africa’s finest athlete. The Blair Atholl course - host to many of the country’s most prestigious tournaments - reflects his extraordinary skill and passion.
Ranked #2 in South Africa, it was designed by the legend himself on land he once called home.
